Abstract

Kualiti guru merupakan penentu utama kepada kecemerlangan murid dari segenap aspek kehidupan agar dapat bersaing di peringkat global. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti perhubungan dan kesan amalan Kepimpinan Kendiri ke atas tahap amalan Gelagat Kewarganegaraan Organisasi guru-guru di Malaysia dan Efikasi Kendiri sebagai pembolehubah pengantara (mediating variable). Kajian ini melibatkan guru-guru yang mengajar di Sekolah Rendah Berprestasi Tinggi di seluruh Malaysia dan seramai 40 orang guru sebagai responden telah dipilih secara rawak dari setiap sekolah. Data kuantitatif ini dianalisa menggunakan Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) dan Structural Equation Model (SEM). Kajian mendapati bahawa tahap amalan Kepimpinan Kendiri, Efikasi Kendiri dan Gelagat Kewarganegaraan Organisasi adalah tinggi dengan skor min melebihi 5.0. Analisis dapatan juga menunjukkan bahawa Kepimpinan Kendiri dan Efikasi Kendiri mempengaruhi Gelagat Kewarganegaraan Organisasi sehingga 20%. Dapatan kajian juga menunjukkan bahawa terdapatnya hubungan yang signifikan antara kedua-dua pemboleh ubah iaitu Kepimpinan Kendiri dan Efikasi Kendiri dengan Gelagat Kewarganegaraan Organisasi guru-guru tersebut. Efikasi Kendiri telah bertindak sebagai pembolehubah separa mediator dalam hubungan antara Kepimpinan Kendiri dan Gelagat Kewarganegaraan Organisasi. Kajian ini diharap dapat membantu melahirkan pelajar yang cemerlang dan seimbang dengan mengetengahkan kualiti guru yang diperlukan supaya mereka dapat menghasilkan murid yang cemerlang dari segenap aspek kehidupan, seiring dengan Falsafah Pendidikan Negara. Hal ini jelas kerana didapati bahawa kualiti guru memainkan peranan yang terpenting bagi menentukan kejayaan seseorang murid. Kajian ini juga diharapkan dapat memberi gambaran yang lebih jelas terhadap peranan dan tanggungjawab guru setelah mengamalkan Gelagat Kewarganegaraan Organisasi. Seterusnya dapat mengurangkan konflik yang timbul akibat daripada berlainan jangkaan dan harapan daripada pelbagai pihak berkepentingan terhadap tugas serta tanggungjawab guru di sekolah.
