Socialization of the Importance of MSMEs for Pineapple Farmers in Ngancar Village by KKNP UMSIDA in the Transformation of Raw Products into Processed Products
Sosialisasi Pentingnya UMKM bagi Petani Nanas di Desa Ngancar oleh KKNP UMSIDA dalam Transformasi Produk Mentah ke Produk Olahan
Abstract
Ngancar Village has significant potential in pineapple cultivation, but farmers face challenges with low selling prices due to the sale of raw pineapples. The aim is to examine how the socialization of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) influences the added value of processed pineapple products The methodology used is qualitative descriptive research through in-depth interviews with farmers and village officials. The findings reveal that socialization by KKNP UMSIDA students enhanced farmers' understanding of product diversification, such as pineapple jam, chips, and juice, while also opening new market opportunities. This transformation not only increased farmers' income but also promoted local economic sustainability. In conclusion, collaboration among the community, students, and the government is essential for sustainable MSME development based on local potential.
